Dear Readers,

Thank you for returning once again to Digital Dragon Magazine. This month I had looked forward to taking time to discuss space operas and western sci-fi, however I have so much more exciting news to share, that discussion may have to wait for another issue.

First, the reason I was thinking about space westerns is, I am thrilled to have L. S. King this month as our featured author. L.S. is one of the editors of Ray Gun Revival and author of Deuces Wild, their wildly successful serial. It was Deuces Wild, and Ray Gun Revival that helped inspire me to start here with Digital Dragon Magazine. Following this month, we have more great features on the way. In May, we will be featuring children’s author Sabine Goldman, along with some art by her daughter who provided all the art for her first book Leap of Faith. And in July, Scott Lang author of suspense/thriller Original Sin, and all around great guy and amazing writer will be featured.

What about June, you ask? This June we will be celebrating our one year anniversary, and we will be featuring many of your favorite writers from 2009 including: Michael Lynch, Fred Warren, Melanie Ann Billings, Johne Cook and Scott Sandridge -- as well as our always-informative reviews and amazing serials. More for June will be announced as we approach the celebration.

Speaking of amazing serials, we have more on the way. This month we will me launching Comet Born, a super hero serial brought to us by Grace Bridges, a long time writer at DDM. We also have a space opera in the works by a brand new writer with us. Details will be on the way for that soon, as we hope to launch this summer with it. And don’t forget our loved serial The Wind Rider will be wrapping up its first season in July. If you have time, drop author Becky Minor an email, and let her know how much you’ve enjoyed this great story this far.

Finally, the polls have closed and the votes have been tallied and we have the winning stories for our first anthology The Year of the Dragon. Tying for most votes was The Gift by Kat Heckenbach, and Word Count a story I wrote and am honored to know you have enjoyed it so much. For these writers listed below, as well as our featured writers from 2009, contracts are on the way for permission to use your story in the wonderful print anthology. And the winners are…
